We Are Finding Fierce

FIERCE:

  1. having or displaying an intense or ferocious aggressiveness.

.

When I was a little girl, I always told myself that if there were monsters chasing me, I would just run faster. I told myself that if life turned out awful, I would just stow away on an airplane or ship and become an explorer of uninhabited lands…

Lunch boxes, money stress, 3a.m. insomnia, divorce, worries about retirement funds, social media, breakups, career changes, failing health of parents, love, remarriage, teenagers, out-of-whack hormones, peri-menopause. (The last four, ironically happening at roughly the same time)

Those weren’t the monsters I was expecting and my airplane took the form of an off-road truck-camper… But it was in navigating through all of these moments that the idea of Finding Fierce was born.

Fierce by the standard definition, is not something most women have been encouraged to be. We were told that Intensity, Ferociousness and Aggressiveness aren’t really feminine traits... Well, we disagree… This is our Finding Fierce philosophy.

-Mary Kate, Founder

  • We are intensely challenging ourselves physically to find our hidden mental strength.

  • We are ferociously denouncing the boredom that gets assigned to age and motherhood.

  • We are aggressively testing new experiences that give us wild energy and fills us with that fire we love to feel.

  • We know that we are our most fierce when we are in balance and harmony with nature.

  • We are putting on our own oxygen masks first and without judgement encouraging and supporting other women, mothers, and girlfriends to do the same.
